Job summary

Blaymires Recruitment Ltd. is representing a respected residential building contractor near Salisbury that is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team and lead the financial performance of high-end projects.

You'll manage budgets, contracts, valuations and final accounts from pre-construction to handover, mentoring junior staff and ensuring projects remain on time and within budget. The role offers a salary up to £70,000 plus car allowance, pension and 25 days holiday.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
• Experience managing commercial aspects of multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and commercial reporting.
• Procurement, valuations, payments, variations and final accounts.
• Prepare client applications and variations; issue contractual notices.
• Ensure compliance with JCT contracts and internal procedures.
• Provide guidance to Contracts Managers and Site Managers.
• Identify risks and monitor commercial performance.
• Lead value-engineering and procurement initiatives.
• Mentor and support Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
