Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our ASTI onshore team, working on Bingally Substation in Scotland. Initially based in Kilsyth or Inverness, you’ll transition to site for at least 3 days a week, with a living-away allowance and competitive package.

You will manage diverse projects, lead commercial strategies, mentor teams, and drive contract negotiations to maximise profitability while ensuring value, quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience of NEC forms of contract.
• Ability to mentor and coach direct reports.
• Strong cost-control and commercial management skills.
• Ability to negotiate contracts to improve profitability.
• Collaborative approach with project teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage diverse projects with focus on quality, time, cost and value.
• Collaborate on joint venture projects and build strong relationships.
• Lead contract negotiations to optimize profitability.
• Mentor teams and enhance commercial capabilities.
• Provide commercial input to site teams and subcontractors.
• Produce monthly/quarterly cost reports and payment applications.
• Ensure timely, accurate cost performance data and insurance claim support.
