Job summary
BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen our team on the Fanellan substation near Beauly, Inverness-shire. Initially based in Kilsyth before transitioning to site, you will be on site at least 3 days a week with some time at Kilsyth or Inverness head offices.
A living-away allowance and benefits are included. This role demands strong commercial skills, board-level collaboration, and the ability to mentor teams across complex infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Experience as Senior Quantity Surveyor or at Quantity Surveyor level seeking progression.
- Experience of NEC forms of contract.
- Ability to mentor and coach direct reports.
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with the project team.
- Relevant qualification (Degree, HNC/D).
Responsibilities
- Manage diverse projects with focus on quality, timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate in joint venture projects and build productive relationships.
- Excel in contract negotiation for optimized project profitability.
- Mentor teams and enhance operational capabilities.
- Provide commercial strategy through client representatives.
- Produce monthly/quarterly cost performance data and reports.
