Job summary

Kier Group seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the STEP Programme based in West Burton, with some hybrid working. You will deliver commercial objectives, manage contracts and sub‑contractors, and generate robust cost forecasts to ensure value for money.

You will lead on commercial risk, change control and performance reporting, collaborating with project teams to maximise profitability and cash flow across complex packages.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in major infrastructure/energy/defence or complex construction.
• Experience managing complex subcontract procurement and commercial package management.
• Thorough understanding of the NEC suite of contracts.
• Strong cost planning, forecasting and reporting capabilities.
• Ability to manage risk, change and contractual entitlement in a structured, auditable manner.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of programme commercial objectives, profitability targets, cash performance.
• Administering contracts in accordance with NEC4 forms of contract, including compensation events, quotations, early warnings and change control.
• Managing subcontractors from procurement to final account, including preparation of tender documentation and establishing collaborative relationships
• Developing and maintaining detailed cost forecasts, cost-to-complete assessments and commercial performance reports
• Identifying, evaluating and managing commercial risks and opportunities across assigned packages
