Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a large SME Construction Group with offices across the UK, working on civil engineering schemes up to £7 million. You will report to the Commercial Director and manage a portfolio of projects, developing budgets and cost plans, advising on procurement strategies and preparing subcontract documents.

The role covers CVRs, risk and value management, final accounts, and providing commercial guidance to the site team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering projects.

• Flag areas of Commercial Risk to Commercial Manager
• Sub-Contractor Procurement
• Prepare Costs for Tenders

• Performing risk and value management and cost control
• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risk
• Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
• Price up variations and obtain agreement with clients
• Agree Final Accounts
• Provide commercial advice to the site team as and when required
• Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
• Assist senior management with the preparation of contractual claims
