Job summary

Streamline Search in Leeds is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of civil engineering projects, ensuring financial performance and contract compliance. You will manage budgets, forecast cash flow, prepare CVRs and final accounts, lead procurement, and mentor junior QS colleagues while delivering projects safely and profitably.

The role requires NEC contract familiarity and strong negotiation skills, with hybrid working options and a competitive benefits

Qualifications

• Experience as QS or Senior QS in contracting environments.
• Qualified in Quantity Surveying (BSc or equivalent).
• Experience delivering civil infra/construction projects.
• Knowledge of NEC forms of contract.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial ownership of assigned civil engineering projects.
• Manage budgets, cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Prepare and review CVRs, valuations and cash flow forecasts.
• Handle variations, change control and final accounts.
• Identify risks and opportunities with mitigation plans.
• Build relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Lead procurement of subcontractor and supplier agreements.
• Provide guidance to junior QSs.
• Work with Commercial Manager to deliver safely and profitably.
