Job summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers is seeking a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to provide commercial support to Delivery Teams. The role involves NEC4 contracts, complex reporting, and managing cost and procurement across UK projects, with a hybrid work model and travel to client sites as required.

Based at our HQ or regional offices (Swansea considered), the position is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a mix of office and home working.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QS environment using NEC4 contracts.
• Ability to read and interpret project scope documents and drawings.
• Advanced MS Excel skills for reporting and forecasting.
• Hold a valid UK driving licence and own transport.

Responsibilities

• Review, negotiate, and finalise awarded contracts to secure a commercially advantageous position.
• Compile accurate, on-time monthly reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage invoicing and reflect on-site progress against contractual entitlements.
• Oversee change control with Delivery Teams to capture, value, and approve variations.
• Agree final accounts with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor expenditure with Delivery Teams; review budgets and forecasts for value.
• Support procurement activities, including tender evaluations and awards.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, company procedures, and legislation.
