Thorn Baker Construction is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial management of a varied portfolio including refurbishment, fit-out, maintenance, roofing and selected new-build projects up to £10m. The role offers a collaborative culture and a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

You will manage procurement, valuations, cost reporting and forecasting, with a focus on cost control, change management and client engagement, while mentoring junior staff toward successful project

Qualifikationen

• Senior Quantity Surveyor with regional or national contractor experience.
• Strong knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts.
• Experience in refurbishment, fit-out, maintenance, roofing or new-build projects.
• Chartered status or working towards RICS/CIOB is welcomed.

• Commercial management of multiple projects from pre-construction to final account.
• Procurement and subcontractor management.
• Valuations, cost/value reporting and forecasting.
• Cost control, change management and contractual notices.
• Risk and opportunity management and client reporting.
• Final accounts and project close-out.
• Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff.
