Job summary

FM Conway is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Term Maintenance Division in London. You will lead commercial management across a portfolio of highways maintenance contracts, delivering projects safely, efficiently and profitably.

The role focuses on change control, subcontractor management, value engineering and robust commercial reporting, with a track record in NEC/JCT style contracts and strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Lead commercial management of term maintenance contracts from inception to final account.
• Manage risk, value engineering, and cost control to maximise profitability.
• Develop procurement strategies and manage subcontractors.
• Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements and variations.
• Monitor costs, forecast cash flow and performance against budgets.
• Oversee change control processes and recover entitlements.
• Build relationships with clients, operations and supply chain.
• Lead and develop junior QS staff.
• Ensure compliance with contracts and legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial management of term maintenance contracts end-to-end.
• Oversee risk, cost control and value engineering to maximise profits.
• Prepare and negotiate subcontractor agreements and variations.
• Monitor project costs and cash flow against budgets.
• Mentor Quantity Surveyors within the team.
