Job summary

FM Conway Ltd is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the Westminster Contract and its highways maintenance portfolio. Based in Paddington, London, you will work with an established commercial team to manage tenders, valuations and supplier payments while developing detailed cost control and reporting processes.

You will have a Quantity Surveying degree (or working towards one) and a genuine interest in infrastructure projects, with strong numerical, analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
• Interest in highways/infrastructure projects.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial management of planned and reactive highway maintenance works.
• Assist with applications for payment and payment certificates.
• Prepare cost estimates, measurements and valuations for completed works.
• Assist with subcontractor procurement, valuations and payments.
• Monitor costs, cash flow and contract performance; identify risks and opportunities.
• Maintain commercial records and support monthly reporting and forecasting.
