Job summary

Galliford Try is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for the Banwell Bypass project in North Somerset. The role manages commercial administration, reporting and performance with responsibility for cost control and contract management on a major highways scheme.

You will prepare and negotiate subcontract documents, issue commercial notices, handle compensation events, and produce monthly cost-value reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Strong communication and cost-management experience on site.
• Knowledge of standard contracts and construction processes.
• CSCS certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial administration, reporting and performance.
• Oversee cost control and contract management.
• Prepare and negotiate subcontract documents (terms, prices and programme).
• Issue commercial notices to client and subcontractors; handle compensation events.
• Prepare monthly client applications and cost-value reports; track against cost plan.
