Job summary

Qualifications

• A RICS accredited degree is required.
• MRICS or working towards chartership is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor is essential.
• Knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts and cost planning is required.
• Experience with cost management, procurement, and tender processes is necessary.
• Healthcare sector experience is preferred.
• Interest in digital tools such as BIM and CostX.

Responsibilities

If you are a senior level Quantity Surveyor looking for a new challenge, we are recruiting for our cost management team in the Winchester office.

Our projects range from £1m to £60m, across sectors including Healthcare, Education, and Residential. The immediate focus for you will be on Healthcare, to support the growth of this client base.

What you need to do to be effective in this role

• Lead cost management from inception to completion on major projects
• Develop cost plans, feasibility studies, and estimates at all RIBA stages
• Utilise digital tools for quantity take-off and estimating
• Prepare and manage tender documentation and processes
• Advise on contracts and procurement
• Attend meetings, produce financial reports, and manage post-contract cost control

The skills and experience you need to have for this role

• Relevant degree (RICS accredited), MRICS or working towards chartership
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Knowledge of construction methodologies and JCT/NEC contracts
• Experience in cost planning, procurement, and cost management
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Healthcare sector experience (preferred)
• Interest in digital tools such as BIM and CostX
