Full Circle Technical Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major design and build contractor delivering water sector projects from Hampton, South West London. Hybrid role requiring three days office/site per week.

You will take commercial responsibility for major packages, including projects valued over £5m, manage procurement and subcontract administration, and mentor junior commercial staff within a supportive project team.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects valued above £5m.
• Experience procuring and managing large-value subcontract packages.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 and IChemE contracts.
• Experience within utilities, water, civil engineering or MEICA.
• Chartered membership, or progress towards membership would be advantageous.

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Hampton / South West London

Location: Hampton, South West London – Hybrid, 3 days office/site

Job Type: Permanent

Sector: Water / Utilities / Civil Engineering / MEICA

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major design and build contractor delivering significant projects within the UK water sector.

Based from Hampton in South West London, this is a hybrid position typically requiring three days per week from the office/project environment.

The role will involve taking commercial responsibility for major projects and work packages, including projects valued in excess of £5 million, and would particularly suit a Senior QS with experience of NEC or IChemE contracts within water, utilities, civil engineering or MEICA.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Commercial management of projects and major work packages
• Managing projects with values in excess of £5m
• Procurement and commercial management of high-value subcontract packages
• Liaising with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost
• Working collaboratively with the client and wider project team
• Managing the main contract and ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are appropriately raised
• Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation
• Managing subcontractor performance
• Preparing and agreeing applications for payment
• Preparing project cost and value reports
• Managing budgets and forecasts
• Supporting the management and development of junior commercial staff
• Maintaining strong commercial relationships across project teams and the supply chain

Ideally you’ll have:

• A degree or equivalent commercial qualification
• Previous experience commercially managing projects valued above £5m
• Experience procuring and managing large-value subcontract packages
• Experience within utilities, water, civil engineering or MEICA
• Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or IChemE contracts
• Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management skills

Chartered membership, or progress towards membership of a recognised professional institution, would be advantageous.

Experience managing or developing junior commercial staff would also be beneficial.
