Murphy is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our energy sector team, based in Kentish Town with travel to sites across the South. You will oversee commercial management, valuations, and cost reporting on EPC style energy projects.

You bring a HND/degree, proven senior QS experience, NEC contracts knowledge, and RICS/ICES status or progress toward chartership. Join a business known for in-house expertise and a strong track record delivering complex power and energy transition projects.

Qualifications

• HND or degree qualification required.
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or time-served QS aiming to step up.
• Solid knowledge of NEC Contracts.
• Registered with RICS or ICES and working towards chartership.
• Experience on civil engineering or major construction projects.

Responsabilités

• Ensure site team adheres to group procedures and governance.
• Prepare valuations/applications for payment with full supporting documentation.
• Oversee cost reports to the Client with contractually compliant supporting documentation.
• Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules.
• Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts from requisitions to final accounts.
• Conduct contract administration, including change management and registers.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change.
• Use the cost allocation/coding which satisfies both internal and external requirements.
• Measurement of quantities in accordance with standard methods of measurement.
