Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on the ETP project in the energy sector, based out of Kentish Town with travel to sites across the South. You will lead commercial governance, prepare valuations, manage cost reporting, and oversee procurement and subcontract administration on civil engineering projects.

The role requires proven senior QS experience, NEC contract knowledge, and chartership progress with RICS/ICES.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or time-served QS stepping up
• Solid knowledge across NEC Contracts
• Experience on civil engineering and/or major construction projects
• Registered with RICS / ICES and working towards chartership

Responsibilities

• Ensure site team adheres to group procedures and governance
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment with full documentation
• Manage internal commercial reporting and cost reports to client
• Oversee subcontract and material procurement schedules
• Administer subcontractor accounts and final accounts
• Contract administration including change management and registers
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering and change
• Measure quantities per standard methods
