Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial delivery of projects from award to final account, protecting profitability and guiding risk management. You will work with Sales and Projects teams to oversee budgets, contracts and final accounts across a broad project portfolio.

You will bring a strong commercial mindset, experience in MEP environments, and stakeholder management to ensure successful project outcomes and ongoing business growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant ready to step up.
• Proven track record on projects ranging from £50k to £10m.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full commercial lifecycle of projects from award through to completion.
• Administer contracts in line with company policies and procedures.
• Lead variation management, ensuring timely agreement and maximisation of project value.
• Prepare, submit and agree final accounts to achieve positive financial outcomes.
• Identify, develop and substantiate claims and entitlement opportunities.
• Monitor project budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Escalate commercial risks and implement corrective actions where required.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve commercial challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practice across commercial processes.
