Kenna Recruitment Ltd is supporting a premier Tier 1 residential developer in recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager to lead a 5-person QS team and manage a flagship 200+ unit project in Godalming. The role balances strategic leadership with hands-on commercial management.

You will bridge the gap between the Commercial Director and the team, optimise delivery across a growing pipeline, and work across pre-planning and live schemes with 3 days in office, 1 day site, and 1 day

Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager | Tier 1 Residential Developer

Are you an experienced Commercial Manager or a high-performing Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step into a strategic leadership role with a premier Tier 1 developer?

We are acting on behalf of a leading residential developer to source a Commercial Manager who will bridge the gap between the Commercial Director and an established commercial team.

To optimise delivery across their growing pipeline, our client is splitting their current team of 10 Surveyors into two distinct divisions. One half will be led by an internal Senior QS. You will take ownership of the second half, directly managing 5 Surveyors who oversee 7 to 8 live projects.

This role offers a perfect balance of strategic leadership and hands-on commercial management. Alongside your overarching team management duties, you will personally lead a flagship 200+ unit development in Godalming (a mixture of traditional and timber frame build). To ensure you have the capacity to lead effectively, you will be supported on this scheme by a dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor.
