Job summary

The Graham Group is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major civil-engineering project in Great Yarmouth. The role covers the project commercial function, cost control, and value recovery, with budgeting and cost-code management, plus subcontract procurement.

NEC contract experience is required, with Option C preferred, and MRICS/MCICES status is desirable. A car allowance, pension, private medical cover and life assurance are among the benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC contracts is required or highly desirable.
• Option C preferred for NEC-based projects.
• Strong cost control and budgeting capabilities.
• Ability to establish budgets and cost codes for large projects.
• Procurement of subcontract packages and managing variations.

Responsibilities

• Hold responsibility for the project's commercial function.
• Report expenditure and forecasts to stakeholders.
• Administer contractual correspondence and payment applications.
• Manage variations and compensation events; prepare delay narratives and loss-and-expense material.
• Resolve subcontract issues and attend commercial meetings.
