Job summary

Linear Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of an established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to drive project commercial performance. The role focuses on cost control, reporting and governance while collaborating with project teams and the wider supply chain.

Key duties include managing CVRs, cash flow, payment applications and final accounts, and leading subcontract procurement and commercial management.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Progress towards RICS chartership is expected/advantageous.
• CSCS card required or advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of cost control, forecasting and commercial governance.
• Experience with subcontract procurement and accounts.
• Familiarity with NEC and IChemE contracts and construction law.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly CVRs, cost plans, forecasting and cash flow.
• Prepare applications for payment and manage final accounts.
• Lead subcontract procurement, negotiations and commercial management.
• Administer NEC and IChemE contracts.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
• Ensure accurate reporting and compliance with commercial procedures.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Advise project teams on cost management and commercial performance.
• Mentor junior commercial team members.
