Job summary

Linear Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist main contractor delivering complex infrastructure and low-carbon energy projects in the UK. You will take commercial ownership, manage subcontract packages, control costs and maximise value with project teams and clients.

You will administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, manage change, prepare CVRs and forecasts, monitor budgets and support audits, with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills essential.

Qualifications

• Proven Quantity Surveying experience within construction or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
• Experience managing subcontract packages and commercial change.
• Good understanding of CVRs, forecasting and cost control.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify commercial risks and protect project margins.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontract agreements, procurement, negotiations and payments.
• Administer NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, particularly Options A and C.
• Manage compensation events, variations and contractual change.
• Prepare monthly CVRs, valuations, forecasts and commercial reports.
• Monitor budgets, project costs and profitability. Review subcontractor applications and maintain accurate cost records.
• Manage change registers and support client audits.
• Monitor contractual obligations and project progress.
• Lead commercial closeout and final account negotiations.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
