Job summary

Danaher & Walsh is a long-established civil engineering contractor based in the Midlands. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will lead the commercial team, oversee contractual delivery for a portfolio of projects and provide strategic commercial guidance to maximise value and minimise risk.

The role requires extensive knowledge of NEC3/NEC4, JCT and ICC contracts, with strong leadership and people management skills. A CSCS card, UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card holder or valid equivalent
• UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• HND/degree in construction or equivalent (desirable)
• Membership of a recognised professional body (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Strategically lead a portfolio across your assigned projects
• Oversee the commercial delivery from award to completion
• Collate and present monthly commercial reports to the Commercial Manager
• Ensure cost-to-complete reviews are updated at least twice monthly
• Support project teams to maximise value and control costs
• Manage contractual and commercial issues with guidance from the Commercial Director
