Job summary

RGB Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join its civil engineering and infrastructure portfolio in Exeter with regional travel across Devon and Cornwall. The role carries hybrid working, salary up to £86,000, a car allowance, and a performance bonus.

You will lead the commercial delivery across multiple projects, manage NEC contract obligations, mentor the commercial team and drive financial performance while building strong client and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in quantity surveying within civil engineering and infrastructure.
• Strong background in commercial management and NEC contracts.
• Proven leadership of commercial teams and projects.
• Experience with water/utilities sector advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Oversee procurement, subcontract management, valuations, forecasting and final accounts.
• Manage contractual obligations under NEC contracts.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Mentor and develop the commercial team.
• Collaborate with operations, design and project management teams.
• Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Provide accurate commercial reporting and strategic advice to senior management.
