Job summary

RGB in Exeter is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to take senior commercial responsibility for civil engineering projects across the South West. You will lead the commercial team, oversee cost control, forecasting and reporting, and work closely with operational colleagues to ensure targets are met.

The role is permanent, full-time and office-based from Exeter. The successful candidate will have NEC contract knowledge, extensive QS experience in civils, and a track record of

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in civil engineering or infrastructure surveying.
• Experience commercially managing civil projects.
• Strong contractual knowledge, NEC preferred.
• Excellent cost management, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience leading a commercial team.
• Ability to work with senior management and clients.
• Relevant QS qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for civil engineering projects.
• Lead, support and develop members of the commercial team.
• Oversee cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting.
• Manage subcontract procurement and account management.
• Oversee contract administration and risk.
• Collaborate with operations and project teams.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders.
• Support projects from procurement through to final account.
