Job summary

RGB Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor for a permanent, full-time role based in Exeter with regional travel across Devon and Cornwall. The role requires senior commercial leadership on civil engineering and infrastructure schemes, overseeing commercial delivery, risk, valuations and cost reporting within a collaborative team.

Hybrid working combines home and site/office presence. The successful candidate will bring extensive quantity surveying experience, NEC contracts

Qualifications

• Significant quantity surveying and commercial management experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.
• Strong NEC contracts knowledge and contract administration skills.
• Proven ability to lead and develop commercial teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Oversee procurement, subcontract management, valuations, forecasting and final accounts.
• Manage contractual obligations under NEC contracts and change control.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to maximise profitability.
• Provide leadership to the wider commercial team and mentor staff.
