Job summary

Green Folk is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery across West Midlands projects, overseeing financial performance, contracts, risk, and stakeholder engagement.

You will manage costs, forecasts, valuations and final accounts, procure subcontractor packages, and drive value engineering while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with clients and consultants.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in building construction.
• Strong commercial management across complex projects.
• Experience managing final accounts, valuations, and contract administration.
• Excellent measurement, valuation, and use of standard forms of contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of major projects or multiple smaller schemes.
• Manage project costs, forecasts, valuations, reporting, and final accounts.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages, ensuring best value and effective risk control.
• Prepare and manage applications for payment, variations, and contractual claims.
• Work closely with operational teams to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Drive value engineering initiatives and support strategic commercial decision-making.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the commercial team.
