Job summary

Apple Technical Recruitment (UK) Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for sites around Cambridge, including the outskirts and local areas. The role is permanent and will lead commercial activities on multiple projects with values across education, healthcare, and commercial sectors.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in main contracting, strong communication skills, and a BSc in Quantity Surveying, with experience using JCT contracts. On-site work in the Cambridge area is required.

Qualifications

• Experience: minimum 7+ years as a QS within a main contractor.
• Essential experience using JCT contracts.
• Education: BSc in Quantity Surveying or comparable qualification.
• Skills: strong communication and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily commercial management functions for projects.
• Manage sub-contract procurement, valuations, and order placements.
• Submit payments timely and reconcile accounts.
• Control costs through variations and change management.
• Settle final accounts and ensure completion meets commercial targets.
