Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial team, based around the Surrey area. The team includes an assistant and a quantity surveyor, and you will be expected to manage a variety of your own packages. Responsibilities

• Manage sub-contract tendering and procurement to meet deadlines
• Provide detailed prelims cost budgets and collaborate with Site Managers
• Handle subcontractor payments, variation orders, and final accounts settlement
• Monitor and explain cost movements
• Oversee the adoption process of public works
• Prepare tender packages from specifications and drawings
• Analyze tenders and recommend the most commercially viable contractors
• Manage subcontractor payments and variations
• Prepare monthly cost reports and estimate future expenditures
• Report savings and overspends against budgets to the Director
• Forecast final accounts
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes such as Building Regulations, NHBC, HSE
• Reconcile and recharge shared costs with internal or external parties
• Attend relevant meetings and maintain computer-based systems

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience
• Experience with COINS
• Residential developer experience
• HND qualification or higher and a valid CSCS card
• Demonstrated job loyalty
