We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in the Northeast, who will be responsible for delivering work that is driven by excellence as well as doing the right thing. You will share our reputation for working on some of the UK's most high-profile commissions. You will work across projects within the complex infrastructure business, initially within our energy sector. As well as building long-term, sustainable relationships with our most important clients, you will also be a catalyst for your colleagues' career progression. You will work within the Client team principally in a site-based office environment.

Your Purpose:
  • Operating within an integrated client-led project team to deliver one of the most innovative and complex industrial projects in the UK.Prepare and manage budgets and financial reports across the lifecycle of your projects.
  • Close liaison with the supply chain to provide accurate monitoring, forecasting and reporting of project costs and performance ensuring value for money and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct cost audit throughout the supply chain including the production of findings reports. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery.
  • Direct and manage client focused teams and mentor colleagues to provide career growth opportunities.
  • Manage contract change collaboratively and effectively and as appropriate for the project needs.
  • Support development of digital reporting tools to integrate data, dashboards and outputs to represent performance analyses. Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
  • Commission management as required.

What you can bring:
  • Proven track record of leading projects for UK public sector funded clients.
  • Previous experience in the oil and gas sector (desirable).
  • Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or equivalent recognised body (desirable).
  • Extensive experience with standard forms and client bespoke contracts and similar.
  • Experience leading business development and, or account management activities for major construction clients.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
