Join a High-Profile Construction Project as a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Royston, UK)!

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join a dynamic team delivering a major construction project in Royston, UK. You'll play a key role in supporting the project's Managing QS, focusing on the shell & core/CSA elements of the £120 million project.

What You'll Do:

1. Collaborate with the Managing QS in all aspects of commercial management for the designated project section.
2. Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets and cost control procedures.
3. Analyze and assess variations, claims, and contractual issues.
4. Provide technical and commercial support during contract administration.
5. Generate accurate and timely reports for project stakeholders.
6. Liaise effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
7. Manage risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies.
8. Contribute to the development and implementation of project procurement strategies.
9. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment within the QS team.

What You'll Bring:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a construction environment.
2. Proven experience in shell & core/CSA quantity surveying (M&E experience a bonus).
3. Strong understanding of standard industry contracts (familiarity with the leading industry contract a plus).
4. Excellent commercial acumen with a focus on cost control and value engineering.
5. Effective communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
6. Proficiency in relevant QS software (e.g., CCS, Aconex).
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
8. Confidence working on-site at Royston, with potential for future WFH flexibility.
