What matters to us
- Registered with RICS / ICES and working towards Chartership
- CSCS Card (relevant type). All roles are expected to have the relevant competency skills cards where site-based work is required
- Commercially astute with excellent knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract and Standard Methods of Measurement
- Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Good communication skills, including presentations and the ability to negotiate and persuade others
- Knowledge of programming techniques, project controls, risk analysis, contract administration, procurement, cost management, and claims
Your contribution to our company
- Participate in the Project Kick-Off meeting and contribute to the development and maintenance of the Project Execution Plan
- Prepare internal commercial reports, influence and contribute to monthly project reviews and other required reports
- Prepare valuations and applications for payment with supporting documentation as per the contract
- Prepare cost reports for the client with compliant supporting documentation
- Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules
- Issue Sub-Contract and Consultant Appointments according to the programme and procurement schedule
- Liaise with the Design Manager and Project Manager regarding design aspects, providing cost impact and value engineering advice
- Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts, from requisitions to final accounts
- Manage contract administration, including change management, contractual notices, and communication, maintaining relevant registers
- Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Maintain accurate site records
- Implement a WBS structure to meet client and contract requirements
- Conduct risk and opportunity workshops, influencing real-time risk and opportunity schedules with mitigation strategies
- Measure quantities according to standard methods of measurement
- Maintain effective client management
- Identify insurance issues, notify potential claims promptly, and ensure contractual insurance requirements are met
- Maximize cash flow, control WIP, and implement cash flow improvement plans
- Monitor and manage project costs and value in real time, maintaining detailed forecasts and reports
- Contribute to margin improvement plans and manage them actively
- Procure PCG, bonds, and warranties timely as per contract requirements
