Our client is an award winning regional housebuilder with numerous sites in the North East.

Due to a number of developments going live, they are looking for an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor to work from their Regional Office and on site.

The Role

• Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for providing the full commercial management on various housing projects from conception to completion

• Monitor and report build costs periodically reporting any savings and excesses. The recording of information relating to the works using COINS.

• Attendance at valuation meetings with the Senior Management and supply chain

• Production of project financial forecasts and reports, management, valuation and certification of payments for our supply chain

• Undertaking measurement exercises including cut and fill, infrastructure and superstructure elements

The Person

• As an experienced Quantity Surveyor, this is an ideal role to take that next step up in your career.

• You will be very reliable and accurate in financial reporting through excellent communication skills both written and verbal with excellent attention to detail

• Experienced working under pressure and to tight deadlines at times

• Good planning and organisational skills

• As a team player you will share your experience and knowledge with junior members of the commercial team
