Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is partnering with a long‑standing organisation delivering major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the UK. They require an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with NEC contract expertise to join their commercial team and oversee significant projects with a hands‑on, commercially focused approach.

These permanent roles involve three days on site and offer UK‑wide project exposure, with locations including Peterborough, Woking, Weybridge, Essex and Dublin,

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor in contractor or contractor-side consultancy environments.
• Proven track record with NEC contracts on infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing costs, forecasting, valuations, change, and final accounts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of significant infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
• Work within a strong commercial team to maximise value.
• Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets and forecasts.

Senior Quantity Surveyor

60,000 - 80,000 Multiple UK Locations Permanent

We are currently working with a well-established organisation delivering major infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors with strong contractor-side experience and a proven background working with NEC contracts.

These are long-term opportunities for commercially minded Quantity Surveyors who are looking to take ownership of significant projects and work within a strong commercial team.

About You

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a contractor or contractor-side consultancy environment


• Demonstrable experience working with NEC contracts


• Experience within infrastructure, highways, civil engineering or major construction projects


• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge


• Experience managing costs, forecasting, valuations, change and final accounts


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


• A stable employment history and an interest in a long-term career opportunity


• Full unrestricted right to work in the UK without sponsorship, now or in the future

Site Requirements

These roles require three days per week on site, so candidates must be based locally or within a reasonable commuting distance of the relevant project.
