Danny Sullivan Group in Manchester is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial activities across major water infrastructure projects. You will take responsibility from inception to final account, managing NEC3/NEC4 contracts and client negotiations.

The role offers a permanent position with a well-established civil engineering contractor, excellent progression opportunities, and a strong pipeline of long-term projects.

Formación

• Minimum degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to negotiate.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts.

Responsabilidades

• Take commercial responsibility for civil engineering and water infrastructure projects from inception through to final account.
• Prepare and manage monthly CVRs, forecasts and commercial reports.
• Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings and variations.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations, payments and final accounts.
• Prepare applications for payment and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to maximise profitability.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Site Agents and engineering teams to ensure delivery.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
• Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering / Water Infrastructure

Location: Manchester

Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + Package

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier One Main Contractor in Manchester, working across major water, utilities and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for civil engineering and water infrastructure projects from inception through to final account.
• Prepare and manage monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), forecasts and commercial reports.
• Administer NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including compensation events, early warnings and variations.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, tender evaluations, payments and final accounts.
• Prepare applications for payment and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities to maximise project profitability.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Site Agents and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
• Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or major infrastructure.
• Strong background in water, wastewater, utilities or heavy civils projects.
• Excellent working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Experience managing subcontractor accounts, compensation events, CVRs and final accounts.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent industry experience.
