Construction Resources is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager for their team in Liverpool. The role focuses on establishing a formal commercial function, improving cost control, forecasting, profitability and overall performance.

The successful candidate will own commercial operations, implement processes and systems, and manage aspects from CVR reporting to final accounts, working with subcontractors and internal teams to drive value and risk management.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager role.
• Strong knowledge of cost control and financial forecasting.
• Experience implementing commercial processes and systems.
• Confident managing subcontractors, variations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration and commercial risk management.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of the commercial function.

Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager

Construction Resources is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join their team in Liverpool.

This is a key appointment for the business, offering an excellent opportunity for someone to establish and develop a formal commercial function. The successful candidate will take ownership of commercial operations, implementing processes and systems to improve cost control, forecasting, profitability and overall commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Establishing and implementing monthly CVR and forecasting processes.
• Managing cost control, value and profit margins.
• Overseeing variations and change management.
• Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts.
• Preparing and managing applications for payment.
• Developing and maintaining cash-flow forecasts.
• Producing commercial reports for the business.
• Managing final accounts through to completion.
• Identifying and managing contractual and commercial risks.
• Developing standard commercial procedures and systems across the business.

About You

• Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager role.
