Job summary

PPM Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role in the Greater Manchester area. You will oversee commercial management of fit-out and refurbishment projects, from pre-construction to final account, across a range of sectors including retail, hospitality and offices.

The ideal candidate will have strong budgeting, procurement, and CVR skills, with a proven track record of managing multi-project workloads in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or commercial fit-out.
• Experience managing projects from 500k to 4m+.
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and commercial management.
• Experience with valuations, variations, CVRs, forecasting and final accounts.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A proactive and collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects.

• Support the pre-construction team with estimating, tenders and pricing when required.

The Role

Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

You will be responsible for the commercial management of a range of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically ranging from several hundred thousand pounds to 4m+.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants genuine responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account.
