Job summary

Bennett & Game are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Ely team. You will deliver full pre and post-contract QS services across a varied portfolio and manage costs from planning to final account.

The role offers hybrid working (typically 1 day per week from home), 25 days holiday, a pension scheme, and long-term career progression within a supportive team across the UK.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally at Senior QS level or ready to step up.
• Experience with main contractor or contractor-side QS is highly desirable.
• Strong pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying experience.
• Experience across a range of construction sectors would be advantageous.
• Commercially astute with the ability to manage projects independently.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Able to support, mentor and develop junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a varied project portfolio.
• Manage projects from initial cost planning and procurement through to final account.
• Prepare estimates, cost plans, tender documentation, Bills of Quantities and cost reports.
• Manage valuations, variations, change control and final account negotiations.
• Attend client, site and commercial meetings and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Travel to project sites and client locations across the UK as required.
• Support and mentor junior members of the Quantity Surveying team.

Bennett & Game are representing a growing and well-established construction consultancy who are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The successful candidate will join a business delivering Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management and wider construction consultancy services across a varied portfolio of projects. Their work spans multiple sectors, including residential, healthcare, commercial, education and refurbishment, with projects located across London and the wider UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of their own projects while playing a key role within the Ely office. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, support junior team members and help drive the continued development of the team.

• Salary: 60,000 - 70,000 depending on experience
