Job summary

Bennett & Game are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Ely team on a busy portfolio spanning residential, healthcare, commercial and education sectors across the UK.

The successful candidate will own projects from cost planning through final account, working with senior leadership and mentoring junior members. Hybrid working available with typically 1 day per week from home.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally at Senior QS level or ready to step up.
• Main contractor or contractor-side QS experience is highly desirable.
• Strong pre and post-contract QS experience.
• Experience across a range of construction sectors would be advantageous.
• Commercially astute with the ability to manage projects independently.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Able to support, mentor and develop junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver full pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a varied project portfolio.
• Manage projects from initial cost planning and procurement through to final account.
• Prepare estimates, cost plans, tender documentation, Bills of Quantities and cost reports.
• Manage valuations, variations, change control and final account negotiations.
• Attend client, site and commercial meetings and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Travel to project sites and client locations across the UK as required.

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 plus package

Bennett & Game are representing a growing and well-established construction consultancy who are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The successful candidate will join a business delivering Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management and wider construction consultancy services across a varied portfolio of projects. Their work spans multiple sectors, including residential, healthcare, commercial, education and refurbishment, with projects located across London and the wider UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of their own projects while playing a key role within the Ely office. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, support junior team members and help drive the continued development of the team.

• Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 depending on experience
