Job summary

A leading Tier 1 main contractor in Central London is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its London division. You will lead commercial management on a range of high-profile projects across education, leisure, healthcare and life sciences, ensuring financial targets and Tier 1 standards are met.

You will prepare detailed cost plans, valuations, forecasts and reports; manage procurement and subcontractor packages; oversee change control and participate in 2-stage tenders and early-stage

Qualifications

• Senior QS with Tier 1 main contractor experience.
• Experience across education, leisure, healthcare or life sciences projects is desirable.
• HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is required.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Tier 1 Main Contractor

Location: Central London
Salary: £85,000£95,000 + Car/Allowance + Benefits

A leading Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their London division. This is a well-established business with a strong pipeline of work across education, leisure, healthcare, life sciences and mixed-use developments. The company is known for delivering high-quality, complex projects and offers excellent long-term career prospects.

The Role

You will take the lead on commercial management across a range of London-based projects, ensuring financial targets are achieved and commercial processes are followed to Tier 1 standards. You will prepare detailed cost plans, valuations, forecasts and commercial reports, manage procurement and subcontractor packages, and oversee change control. You will also play a key role in 2-stage tenders and early-stage project development, working closely with clients, consultants and internal teams.

What Were Looking For

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with Tier 1 main contractor experience and a strong background in 2-stage procurement. Experience across education, leisure, healthcare or life science projects is highly desirable. You will be confident managing commercial functions independently, with strong communication, negotiation and client-facing skills. An HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management is required.
