Job summary

Fortiva Retail Credit in Leeds is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a high-performing commercial team on long-term framework contracts and major standalone projects. The role offers hybrid working and opportunities to lead client-facing meetings.

You will manage NEC3/4 contracts, valuations, variations, and final accounts, while driving commercial improvements across civil engineering and power-related projects.

Qualifications

• NEC3/4 contracts experience
• Experience as Quantity Surveyor or similar role
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables/ Lookups)
• Civil/Power projects experience advantageous but not required
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (or HNC with experience)

Responsibilities

• Managing NEC3/4 and bespoke contracts across multiple projects
• Leading quotation submissions and ensuring contract orders are in place
• Overseeing valuations, applications, variations, and final accounts
• Managing supply chain contracts and subcontractor accounts
• Producing and maintaining CVRs and cash flow forecasts
• Establishing monthly project reviews and senior review processes
• Attending client progress meetings and managing dispute resolution
• Driving continuous improvement across commercial practices

The Opportunity

An established contractor is seeking a confident and organised Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their high-performing commercial team. This role offers the chance to work on long-term framework contracts and major standalone projects, providing variety, challenge, and the opportunity to lead client-facing meetings.

Your Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Managing NEC3/4 and bespoke contracts across multiple projects
• Leading quotation submissions and ensuring contract orders are in place
• Overseeing valuations, applications, variations, and final accounts
• Managing supply chain contracts and subcontractor accounts
• Producing and maintaining CVRs and cash flow forecasts
• Establishing monthly project reviews and senior review processes
• Attending client progress meetings and managing dispute resolution
• Driving continuous improvement and innovation across commercial practices

Your Skills And Experience

• Strong working knowledge of NEC3/4 and other contract forms
• Solid experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
• Experience in civil engineering and construction projects; experience with utilities or substation/power projects is beneficial but not compulsory
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or HNC with relevant experience)
