Job summary

Matchtech are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role in Leeds. You will manage NEC3/4 contracts across large electrical and civil frameworks and lead client meetings to drive commercial success.

The role offers a fast-paced environment with high-volume workloads, extensive supplier and subcontractor management, and opportunities for professional development within the power utilities and energy sector.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC3/4 or other contract forms.
• Experience in civil engineering and construction projects.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management (or HNC with relevant experience).

Responsibilities

• Manage NEC3/4 and bespoke contracts across multiple projects.
• Lead quotation submissions and ensure contract orders are in place.
• Oversee valuations, applications, variations, and final accounts.
• Manage supply chain contracts and subcontractor accounts.
• Produce CVRs and cash flow forecasts.
• Establish monthly project reviews and senior review processes.
• Attend client progress meetings and manage disputes.
• Drive continuous improvement across commercial practices.

Salary: GBP65000 - GBP75000 per annum, 8% pension, car/allowance, PMI

Our client, a prominent organisation in the power utilities and energy sector, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Leeds. This permanent role involves working on a broad range of large electrical and civil frameworks and major standalone projects. This is a fast-paced, high-volume role that offers variety, challenge, and the chance to lead client-facing meetings and drive commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing NEC3/4 and bespoke contracts across multiple projects
• Leading quotation submissions and ensuring contract orders are in place
• Overseeing valuations, applications, variations, and final accounts
• Managing supply chain contracts and subcontractor accounts
• Producing and maintaining CVRs and cash flow forecasts
• Establishing monthly project reviews and senior review processes
• Attending client progress meetings and managing dispute resolution
• Driving continuous improvement and innovation across commercial practices

Job Requirements:

• Strong working knowledge of NEC3/4 and other contract forms
• Solid experience in Quantity Surveying or a similar role
• Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
• Experience in civil engineering and construction projects; experience in utilities or substation/power projects would be beneficial
• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or HNC with relevant experience)
• Proactive and commercially astute, with excellent organisational skills
• Ability to lead client-facing meetings and drive commercial success
