Job summary

Borne Resourcing Limited is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of two projects in Hertfordshire, including an £8m new-build warehouse and a £3m refurbishment. The role is office-based, with oversight from a Director and close collaboration with project teams.

You will lead procurement, CVRs, forecasts, valuations and final accounts, while managing variations and client payments across both schemes.

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor with main-contractor experience.
• Comfortable commercially managing two projects simultaneously.
• Strong procurement and subcontract package management experience.
• Confident across CVRs, forecasting, valuations and final accounts.
• Experience across new build and refurbishment.
• Industrial, warehouse or education experience would be beneficial.
• Able to take ownership and communicate commercial priorities clearly.
• Happy working from the office in Hertfordshire.

Responsibilities

I'm working with an established main contractor looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of two projects, reporting directly to a Director.

The main priority is an £8m new-build warehouse, currently in procurement with approximately 60 weeks remaining on the programme. Alongside this, you'll commercially manage a £3m school refurbishment in Hackney due to finish next summer.

This is an office-based position, offering responsibility across both new build and refurbishment, with close involvement in procurement and ongoing project delivery.

The Role

• Commercial management of two projects from procurement through to final account
• Prioritising procurement and subcontract package placement on the £8m warehouse scheme
