Job summary

Carmichael UK seeks a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major MOD civil engineering programme in Scotland. The role focuses on commercial management, NEC contract administration, and cost control across marine and offshore construction activities.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, chartered status or progress toward it, and proven experience on large civil projects with NEC contract exposure, including defence or secure government work.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major civil engineering projects.
• Strong NEC contract experience.
• Experience delivering marine, offshore, port, harbour or heavy infrastructure works.
• Knowledge of piling and reinforced concrete construction projects.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
• British National.
• Experience on defence or secure government projects.
• Chartered status or progression towards chartership.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, who is a British National, to join a major MOD civil engineering project involving significant marine and offshore construction works. The position will suit an experienced civil engineering commercial professional with a strong understanding of NEC contracts and complex infrastructure delivery.

Candidates with experience on ports, harbours, marine construction, offshore piling, quay walls, jetties and reinforced concrete structures are particularly encouraged to apply.
