Job Description

Our client, a self delivery main contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor due to growth and new projects starting. The role will be Site and Office based. With a strong pipeline of work this is an excellent opportunity to join a successful team and progress your career.

Your responsibilities:

Based on site as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a newbuild education project.

• Accurately valuing, certifying, and issuing any relevant payment notices for the subcontract works in accordance with the conditions of their subcontract.
• Ensuring that external valuations are submitted in accordance with the conditions of the main contract and that payments are received by the due date.
• Completing CVC reports, ensuring they accurately reflect the current position on site and the final profit projection.
• Building and establishing excellent working relationships with our supply chain, consultants, and clients where appropriate, this will enable you to identify any potential disputes in a timely manner to your line manager and then implement effective resolutions.
• Working closely with the project team and senior commercial staff to achieve or exceed budgeted targets for your project.

Your experience will include:

• Fit out or student accommodation experience preferable but not essential.
• Reading and accurately interpreting drawings and specifications.
• A base understanding of contract law.
• Experience in re-measurement.
• Construction related degree.
• Procurement experience.
• Financial / cost control.
• Driving License.
