Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our Client are a leading tier one contractor who have been awarded a multi million new build commercial project in Surrey and are looking to hire a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the project with a QS reporting into you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts.
• Oversee procurement and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Conduct valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Provide cost reporting and risk assessments to senior management.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure financial efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.
• Mentor and support junior members of the commercial team.

Requirements:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong experience in quantity surveying within new build projects for a main contractor
• Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office.
