Job summary

United Infrastructure seeks a dedicated Quantity Surveyor to manage day‑to‑day commercial activities across construction projects. You will contribute to the full lifecycle from contract administration to cost reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with NEC 3 frameworks.

Your role requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A UK driving licence and willingness to travel are advantageous for site visits.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or related commercial field.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel.

• Applications for payments for Client and Subcontractors.
• Forecasting and performance tracking for Client and Subcontractors.
• Project risk management and daily risk reviews.
• Site visits for subcontractor assessments and cost reviews.
• Identify, notify and manage compensation events/variations.
• Create and manage cost-to-complete reporting.
• Deliver accurate budget, cost and change reporting.
• Contribute to Cost Value Reconciliation and Earned Value Analysis.

Role As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day commercial responsibilities of delivering construction and contributing towards success across the full lifecycle of the project:

• Contract administration in line with NEC 3 (Options A, B, C & E).
• Subcontractor negotiations, and contract management.
• Application for payments both Client and Subcontract.
• Forecasting and performance tracking both Client and Subcontractors.
• Project risk management, reviewing day-to-day project risks.
• Site visits for sub-contractor assessments.
• Identify, notify, and manage compensation events/variations in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Create and manage cost to completes to ensure the business is aware of the project position.
• Deliver accurate and timely budget, cost, and change reporting.
• Contribute to Cost Value Reconciliation and generate Earned Value Analysis reports, whilst maintaining robust commercial documentation.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying, business or a related commercial field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent diligence and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and people skills.
• Enthusiasm, commitment, and flexibility.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Previous experience in civils / construction desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required.
