Job summary

A Senior Quantity Surveyor is sought to join a well-established Scottish consultancy delivering cost management and project advisory services across residential, commercial, healthcare and education sectors. You will lead on pre- and post-contract duties and provide commercial guidance to clients, contractors and design teams.

MRICS status is preferred; you will mentor junior staff, manage budgets, procurement, variations and reporting to ensure delivery on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Strong background in quantity surveying within a consultancy environment.
• Experience managing projects across residential, commercial, healthcare, or education sectors.
• Solid technical expertise in cost planning, procurement, and contract administration.
• Strong communication skills and a client-facing approach.
• MRICS status (or working towards it) is preferred.

Your new role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take a leading role in delivering projects across the residential, commercial, healthcare, and education sectors. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and design teams, providing clear and commercially focused advice throughout all project stages.

You will be responsible for managing full pre‑and post‑contract duties, including cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting. You will lead client meetings, monitor project performance, manage variations, and ensure projects are delivered in line with budgets and expectations.

Alongside your project responsibilities, you will support and mentor junior team members and contribute to maintaining high standards across the business.
