Job summary

MARCH is seeking a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Digital team in Daresbury. You will manage commercial activities across diverse projects in critical engineering environments and support project delivery.

The role requires at least 3 years' QS experience, an HNC in Quantity Surveying, and proficiency in Microsoft Office plus CEMAR or similar tools; opportunities for career development and discretionary bonus are available.

Qualifications

  • HNC in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using CEMAR or similar project control tools.
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP, IFS, Oracle or Sage.
  • Experience across FMCG, Pharma, Food & Beverage, Utilities, Chemical, or Process industries is desirable.
  • Attention to detail, organisation and commercial awareness; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with clients through clear communication, meetings and documentation.
  • Manage and maintain commercial registers, including Variations and Early Warnings.
  • Prepare and submit interim payment applications and final accounts; resolve client queries.
  • Generate accurate sales invoices and commercial documentation.
  • Ensure contractual compliance across all projects.
  • Identify, notify, and price additional works and variations.
  • Produce Early Warning notifications in line with contractual requirements.
  • Support Project Managers with monthly CVR reporting.
  • Contribute to cash flow forecasting, cost reporting and AFC updates.
  • Monitor WIP and support project commercial audits.
  • Provide productivity analysis to optimise project performance.
  • Work flexibly as part of a team or independently on varied projects.

Job description

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Digital team in Daresbury. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality commercial performance across a diverse range of projects within critical engineering environments.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at MARCH, you will be trusted to manage commercial activities, support project delivery, and build strong relationships with both internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build strong working relationships with clients through clear communication, meetings, and documentation
  • Manage and maintain commercial registers, including Variations and Early Warnings
  • Prepare and submit interim payment applications and final accounts, resolving client queries efficiently
  • Generate accurate sales invoices and commercial documentation
  • Ensure contractual compliance across all projects
  • Identify, notify, and price additional works and variations
  • Produce Early Warning notifications in line with contractual requirements
  • Support Project Managers and Business Leads with monthly CVR reporting

Skills, Experiences & Qualifications:
  • HNC (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
