Bennett & Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Winchester area team. You will take ownership of commercial aspects across varied UK projects, working directly with clients and consultant teams.

The role offers hybrid working, with strong progression prospects within a growing consultancy and a focus on cost management and value creation across residential, commercial, industrial, defence, marine and ecclesiastical sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a consultancy/PQS environment.
• MRICS qualification or APC underway.
• Strong pre- and post-contract experience.
• Experience managing projects independently and dealing directly with clients.
• Good knowledge of JCT contracts; NEC experience is advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent cost control and analytical skills.
• Good communication, client-facing and technical writing skills.
• Able to work independently within a small, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the commercial and cost management of projects from inception through to completion.
• Manage multiple projects across a varied range of sectors and maintain strong client relationships.
• Prepare feasibility studies, cost estimates and cost plans throughout the design process.
• Manage procurement and tendering processes, including analysis of tender returns and recommendations to clients.
• Provide pre and post-contract cost management, including valuations, change control and final accounts.
• Advise clients and project teams on procurement routes, contract matters and commercial considerations.
• Attend project meetings and work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary consultant teams.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy through client relationships, networking and identifying opportunities.

Salary: 50,000 - 70,000 DOE

Bennett & Game are representing a privately owned quantity surveying and project management consultancy who are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.

The business provides quantity surveying, project management, project monitoring and dispute resolution services across a varied portfolio of projects throughout the UK. Their work covers sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, defence, marine and ecclesiastical projects, with typical project values around 5m and opportunities to become involved with larger schemes as the business continues to grow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a Senior position within a genuinely close-knit consultancy. Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience gained within a consultancy / PQS environment is essential
• MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership through the APC process
• Strong pre and post-contract experience
• Experience of managing projects independently and dealing directly with clients
• Good knowledge of JCT contracts, with NEC experience advantageous
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent cost control and analytical skills
• Good communication, client-facing and technical writing skills
• Able to work independently while contributing positively within a small, collaborative team
