Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment LTD in Warrington is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Northern team. The role involves delivering full pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a varied portfolio, with hybrid working and long-term career progression.

You will take commercial responsibility for projects from inception to final account, prepare estimates and cost plans, manage procurement and subcontracts, and mentor junior team members while building strong client

Qualifications

• Strong pre/post-contract QS capabilities across varied projects

Responsibilities

• Deliver full pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services
• Take commercial responsibility from inception to final account
• Prepare estimates, cost plans, BoQ, tender docs and reports
• Manage procurement, subcontracts, valuations, variations and final accounts
• Provide commercial advice and support to clients and project teams
• Attend meetings and develop client relationships

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Warrington
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000

Bennett & Game are representing a growing and well-established construction consultancy who are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Northern team.

The successful candidate will join a business delivering Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management and wider construction consultancy services across a diverse range of projects. Their portfolio includes residential, healthcare, commercial, education, refurbishment and fit-out projects, with work undertaken for a broad range of clients across the UK.

This is a key appointment within the Warrington office, offering the opportunity to take responsibility for your own projects while working alongside another Senior Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will also support the development of junior and mid-level team members within a collaborative and growing team.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 depending on experience
• Hybrid working, typically 1 day per week from home
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

• Deliver full pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a varied project portfolio

Senior Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally at Senior QS level or ready to progress
• Main contractor or contractor-side Quantity Surveying experience is strongly preferred
• Strong experience across both pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying
• Experience across a varied range of construction projects
• Able to manage projects independently and take ownership of commercial delivery
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members would be advantageous
