Job summary

Fairmead are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis for a major infrastructure project in Essex. The role is site-based, running the commercial side, including valuations, cost reporting and final accounts.

You must have proven Senior QS experience with a main or civils contractor and NEC Option C experience. A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying and a full UK driving licence are required.

• NEC Option C experience essential.
• Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or similar.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Run the commercial side of the project day to day — valuations, CEs, cost reporting, subcontract procurement and final accounts.
• Manage the NEC contract with the client and supply chain, and keep the early warning and compensation event process on top of itself.

Fairmead are currently recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis on behalf of our client, a leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor, for a long-term scheme in Essex.

Overview of role

• Location: Essex
• Salary: £60,000 to £80,000 plus package
• Permanent, site-based on a major infrastructure project
• Running the commercial side of the project day to day — valuations, CEs, cost reporting, subcontract procurement and final accounts
• Managing the NEC contract with the client and supply chain, and keeping the early warning and compensation event process on top of itself

Requirements

• Proven Senior QS experience with a main or civils contractor
• NEC Option C experience essential
• Degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying or similar
• Comfortable running the commercial function on a project without a Managing QS over you every day
• Full UK driving licence
